During our second event DJ and founder of DEEP DIVE, M.U. , will deliver you a new set! 📀 DEEP DIVE is an event organization born out of passion for music with a goal to create an intimate and welcoming space.
During the evening you are surrounded with art by our second artist of the month, Emma Hovi. By representing one visual artist of the month we like to enlighten our guests with the local talents of Osthrobothnia.
Emma Hovi works as an art educator and artist based in Helsinki. She has studied philosophy and art pedagogy. Currently, she works as Curator of Education at Amos Rex, where she is responsible for the museum's learning programmes.
Emma works primarily with drawing, textiles and text. Her artistic practice revolves around the workings of memory, belonging and feminine-coded labour. She has shown her work in Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Finland and Hong Kong. Emma is also co-organiser of the artistic platform Social Choreography Lab Helsinki, which explores the connections between body, movement and society.
