About this Event
Join us for a special one-hour engagement session as part of the 21st edition of the ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human–Robot Interaction (HRI’ 26), where the theme is Empowering Society.
This interactive event invites members of the public to step inside the world of human–robot interaction and engage directly with the robots — and the researchers — working to shape how these technologies will support our daily lives. From healthcare and transport to agriculture, remote working and industry, robots have the potential to create positive change across many areas of society. However, this future depends on meaningful engagement with the people who may one day use, work alongside, or be supported by these systems.
During this session, you’ll have the opportunity to explore live demonstrations, ask questions, and share your perspectives with the scientists and engineers developing the next generation of robotic technologies. We are particularly interested in how robots can be ethically integrated into everyday environments without creating disruption or inequality, and how they can be designed to be accessible in terms of usability, technical understanding, and cost.
Whether you're curious about robotics, interested in how emerging technologies may affect your work or community, or simply want to learn more about how humans and robots can collaborate in the future, this is your chance to take part in the conversation.
