Egypt Urban Week 2026 opens with “All Hands on Housing”, the official in-person inauguration convened by UN-Habitat Egypt, in partnership with national stakeholders.
Through keynote discussions, panel exchanges, thematic conversations, and an interactive exhibition space, the event will explore key priorities including:

• Nature-based and technological solutions
• Informal settlement upgrading
• Housing finance

This inauguration marks the opening of Egypt Urban Week 2026, taking place from 18 to 23 April, and will be followed by a series of online thematic sessions and discussions to be announced with dedicated registration links.
Building on the legacy of World Urban Forum 12, Egypt Urban Week contributes to the Road to World Urban Forum 13, connecting national dialogue with global discussions on housing, resilience, and sustainable urban development.
At the heart of the housing challenge are people, from individuals and families to communities. Ensuring that no one and no place is left behind remains central to advancing the New Urban Agenda, SDG 11, and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
