About this Event
This isn’t just a yoga class or a day to “relax.”
It’s a structured experience designed to help you move between effort and ease, intentionally.
Most of us live on one side of that spectrum.
We either push, do, and stay in constant motion…or we collapse into rest without truly resetting.
This day is about learning, in your body, how to access both.
We begin with effort: strength, stability, and focused movement.
Then we shift into ease: recovery, stillness, and deep rest.
Through yang practice, sauna + cold exposure, yin, and yoga nidra, you’ll experience what it actually feels like to move between activation and rest and why both are essential.
You’ll leave having experienced strength, stillness, and rest and what it feels like when your system has space to shift between them.
What to Expect
This is a full-day, guided experience.Each part of the day is intentionally designed to build on the next:
- Build heat and strength
- Step out of doing and into rest
- Slow down and turn inward
- Fully integrate through rest
You’ll be supported through both movement and stillness, without needing to figure anything out on your own.

Your Guide
Your guide for the day is Alison Réaume, a senior yoga teacher and educator known for her grounded, no-fluff approach to practice.
Her work sits at the intersection of structure and embodiment, blending traditional yoga with a modern understanding of the nervous system, energy, and capacity.
She creates spaces where students can move, rest, and explore without pressure, focusing less on how things look, and more on what they actually feel like in the body.
This retreat is an extension of that work, offering a structured container to experience both effort and ease, without needing to force either.
