Join the NAACP Detroit Branch's Education Committee for their 3rd Annual Education Symposium, "Defending the Future of Public Education." The NAACP stands on the belief that every child should receive a free, high quality public education. This symposium will inform and empower the community on the current state of public education, and what we can do to protect it.
This year's symposium is a part of our for Membership In Action Week! Guests will include:
- Dr. Nikolai Vitti, Superintendent, Detroit Public Schools Community District
- Dr. Daveda J. Colbert, Superintendent, Wayne RESA
- Dr. Pamela Pugh, President, Michigan Board of Education
This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided, but you must register!!
