About this Event
Edmonton Métis Traditional Dancers · 40th Anniversary Celebration
Join us as we celebrate 40 years of culture, community, and Métis excellence.
Since 1985, the Edmonton Métis Traditional Dancers have carried the stories, the dance, and the pride of our ancestors across stages locally, nationally, and internationally. What began as youth dance programming rooted in cultural pride has grown into a four-decade legacy of mentorship, performance, and community leadership.
This milestone evening will honour:
• Our founders and elders
• Alumni dancers across generations
• The families who built and sustained the group
• The music, stories, and traditions that shaped us
✨ What to Expect:
- Live Métis jigging and traditional dance performances
- Fiddle and guitar music
- Special alumni showcases
- Historical photo displays and storytelling
- Community celebration and social dance
This is more than an anniversary, it is a gathering of generations. A reunion. A tribute. A continuation of a legacy that began in our old dance studio and continues to grow today.
Whether you danced with us, supported us, traveled on the bus, or cheered from the audience, this night is for you!
