You have a set of pictures that either you have taken or someone has taken for you but how do you edit or curate them into something that makes the story you are trying to tell stand out? This workshop will provide insights, tips, and techniques.

About the Speaker
Xavier Buendia is an award-winning, internationally published food, portrait, and documentary photographer and creative director based in Brighton. Originally from Mexico City, he has spent over a decade creating bold, story-driven imagery and stories across food, portrait, architecture, and documentary photography.
Renowned in the food and hospitality world, he has worked with acclaimed chefs including Monica Galetti, Tom Aikens, and Douglas McMaster, as well as brands like Ridgeview Wine Estate, Brighton Gin, and Thames & Hudson. During the pandemic, Xavi expanded beyond hospitality, earning an MA in Documentary Photography and now explores human potential through portraiture, architecture, and personal branding creative work.
Xavi also mentors creatives, runs photography and creative workshops, and volunteers with the charity, The Launchpad Collective.
This is an in-person event at BIPC, 1st floor of Jubilee Library, Brighton.

What is your cancellation policy?
The majority of our events are free, but places are often limited - especially for in-person events, therefore please make sure you cancel your place, if you are unable to attend. You can cancel through your Eventbrite booking or emailing [email protected].
Can I attend if I'm not a member of the library?
Absolutely! Any Sussex based business/ person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it's free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
