About this Event

Join us for breakfast, coffee and a chat with some fantastic people in the Greentech community - hosted by Edinburgh Greentech Futures, this time in partnership with Creative Edinburgh. In this session we will be hearing about resources available to support businesses in making their practice and work more sustainable.The session will include a facilitated discussion, presentation of resources as well as a Q&A.

This event is open to anyone with an interest in sustainability or greentech, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet other people in the space and get to know the Edinburgh Greentech community.


<h4>About Creative Edinburgh</h4>

This event is part of the Sustainable Creativity & Innovation Project generously supported by the Scottish Government's Ecosystem Fund administered by the Scottish Enterprise. The project is designed to strengthen Scottish creative networks through a special focus placed on supporting creative freelancers on their Net Zero journey. They have been delivering a range of workshops, events, resources and a digital platform for the benefit of the Creative Edinburgh community of 6300+ members. It is an ambitious, multifaceted initiative with the overarching goal of catalysing the widespread adoption of sustainable practices within the creative industry.

Creative Edinburgh is a registered Scottish Charity (SC052838) committed to helping creatives thrive. Through events, career support and advocacy, we bring together and help grow the city’s creative community, providing a space for creation, collaboration and connection at every stage of your career. <h4>About Our Speaker</h4>

Mary is the Co-Founder and Director of Ostrero, which works to grow the Circular Economy

in Scotland through mindset change and education. She is interested in the intersection

between creativity and the Circular Economy and how this can bring about positive change.

Previous roles include Director of the Incorporation of Goldsmiths and the Scottish

Goldsmiths’ Trust; and Trustee of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance Scotland and Craft

Scotland. She is currently a Trustee of Circular Communities Scotland. Mary lives in

Edinburgh with her husband and 3 children.

Accessibility:

How are we making sure this event is accessible?

CodeBase Edinburgh's Events Space is fully accessible to wheelchair users via the main entrance on Castle Terrace (37a Castle Terrace, Edinburgh EH1 2EL).

There will be no amplified music or bright lights used throughout the event.

There will not be a BSL interpretation at the event.

If you have other access requirements, please let us know during registration or get in touch with us directly, and we will do our very best to help.

Getting to the venue:

CodeBase is situated in the heart of Edinburgh city which means there are several ways you can reach the venue. It is a 4-minute walk from the closest bus stop on Lothian Road and a 10-minute walk from the West End tram stop.

There is also an NCP car park situated right in front of the venue on Castle Terrace.

There is level access into the venue from Castle Terrace, with automatic double doors upon entering, and an accessible toilet inside the building. There is a lowered desk at reception. The entrance has "CodeBase" written in large type across the automatic doors.
