WELCOME TO THE 2026 EDINBURGH CANAL FESTIVAL – A FREE COMMUNITY FESTIVAL OPEN TO ALLFountainbridge Canalside Community Trust are pleased to be organising The Edinburgh Canal Festival – a celebration of the Union Canal and canalside community.
This year, the Festival is a little more compact, with three lively zones instead of five, bringing everything closer together along the canal.
Come and explore the canal from Lochrin Basin to Fountainbridge Green - take part along the way in free activities, enjoy great food, and live music performances.
Visitors will have access to information about the organisations running charity and social enterprise stalls, their missions, and goals, and how to get involved or support their work.
We’re also expanding the celebrations with additional events, including Picnic in the Park ( Harrison Park ) on 25th July and the Raft Race on 22nd August, as part of our wider Festival programme this summer.
