From raised-bed kitchen gardens to gorgeously designed sustainable yards that feed the people, pollinators, and the planet, we will be looking at how to make the most of urban/suburban spaces in the short growing season of the Upper Midwest. Using nature’s patterns, rhythms and cycles as our guide, you will learn sustainable gardening techniques such as successional planting, intensive planting, companion planting, and intentional design. You will leave with a number of ways to transform your own garden space to a beautiful bountiful edible landscape.
