A Hands On Night of Craft & Taste: Step inside an evening of flavor, and creativity.
About this Event

Edible DC curates and celebrates the very best of the region’s food and drink. To mark the launch of our Spring Issue, we’re bringing that spirit to life with Makers’ Table—an immersive gathering that brings together standout bakers, florists, growers, and artisans from across the region. Guests will move from station to station, meeting the people behind the craft and experiencing firsthand the creativity, flavor, and skill that define our local food community.

Your ticket includes:

Hands-on cake decorating workshop, with James Beard Award semifinalist Kareem “Mr. Bake” Queeman. Mr. Bake will guide you through techniques behind his award-winning celebration cakes. With an energetic style, he guides guests through decorating their own cakes while sharing professional pastry tips and the creative flair that has made him one of the region’s most recognized bakers.

-Pour and customize your own eco-friendly clean burning candle with Candles With Attitude . Sustainability meets high-end culture. Enjoy the soothing, rhythmic crackle of natural wood wicks and the peace of mind that comes with a 100% non-toxic glow.

-Join Agripina & Bloom for a hands-on flower experience! Their tulips are freshly cut from their farm in Catonsville, MD and ready for you to mix and match. Agripina & Bloom is a year around flower farm operated by Matt Cruz bringing locally grown flowers to DMV farmers market.

-Learn knife skills that will change how you cook at home.

-A copy of the newly published issue of Edible DC featuring a tribute to Julia Child

-Tastings, Sampling and meet local makers

Between workshops, guests sample bites and drinks from local producers, farmers, and makers who are shaping the Mid-Atlantic’s food culture.

This is not a demonstration. It’s a participatory evening of craft—equal parts workshop, tasting, and gathering.

Come curious. Leave with new skills, something handmade, and a deeper taste of the region.
