With over 40 years of experience, saxophonist Edward Archibald has cultivated a sound deeply rooted in jazz while drawing from rhythm & blues, country, and classical influences. The result is a rich, distinctive style that feels both familiar and refreshingly unique — a reflection of his deep respect for each genre he brings into his music.
A seasoned performer, Edward writes, produces, arranges, and performs his own original compositions, alongside thoughtfully chosen covers spanning generations of great artists. His career has taken him to stages alongside icons like Chaka Khan, and as an opening act for Kem, Al Green, and Jonathan Butler. He has also shared the stage with contemporary jazz standouts including Marcus Johnson, Najee, and Walter Beasley.
Locally, Edward has become a cornerstone of the jazz scene — highlighted by Omaha Magazine and featured at events like LOVAM Festival and the Omaha Jazz Experience.
This special evening celebrates the release of his latest single, “Keep It Simple,” bringing his signature smooth grooves front and center for a night that’s both laid‑back and musically rich. This is a night for jazz lovers, groove seekers, and anyone ready to unwind with timeless sound and masterful musicianship.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase, including chef‑curated small plates, craft cocktails, and desserts — perfect for sharing or enjoying as a full dinner. A $25 food & beverage minimum per guest will be kindly enforced to support Jewell on Capitol’s hospitality team.
