About this Event
Ecumenical Women (EW) at the United Nations was established on the occasion of the five-year review of the Beijing Platform for Action (Beijing +5) to enhance and reinforce the collaboration of progressive churches and ecumenical organizations to advocate for the rights of women at the annual United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW). Every year since then, it has engaged in advocacy, advocacy training and worship at the annual United Nations Commission on the Status of Women held at UN headquarters in New York. EW also collaborates with UN Women and other UN agencies throughout the year.
Orientation Day - Saturday, March 8th, 2025, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Ecumenical worship, networking, orientation and overview of United Nations processes and structures, theological foundations and the how to's of advocacy. A boxed lunch is included in the registration fee.
You only need to register for orientation and the advocacy meeting if you are attending in person at the Church Center (click the Get Tickets button to register). If you will be attending virtually, there is no need to register through Eventbrite.
Registration will be open from February 6, 2024 to February 27, 2024. No registrations will be accepted after the deadline.
