What event looks like
3PM Please arrive, take your shoes off, ground, stretch, wiggle, dance, connect with friends or go inward and meditate in a quiet space.
3:15pmish Opening Circle/Agreements
3:20- 3:45 Guided Breathwork
3:50-5:20 There wil be15 minutes of guided movement leading into a self lead movement journey. We will play music from around the world that encourage movement and expression! The journey starts in a low beat to give your body the chance to ground, connect and warm up. The rhythms and beats progressively increase to an energetic peak and slowly come back to conclude with a smooth landing back into stillness
5:20ish -5:45 Live Sound Journey( we make a nest on the floor or find somewhere to sit and receive the beautiful etheral sounds of live instruments and the voices of Tala and Carmyn.
5:45- 6PM Closing Circle
This is a ticketed event and the cost is $33 for early birds or $44 regular price which includes the breathwork. dance, light snacks and live sound bath after. Children under 12 are free. Purchasing tickets through eventbrite is prefered but there is cash at the door available or etransfer to [email protected]. There is a PWYC or energy exchange available, just reach out to us at [email protected] to let us know ahead of time.
What to bring/not to bring!
NO PERFUMES PLEASE. WE ARE SCENT FREE
****Very important to note this is a scent free/alcohol free event. Please refrain from wearing perfume/cologne as we are mindful of those who have sensitivities! We may burn a small amount of sage or Paolo Santo so if you have a sensitivity to this please inform me.
****Bring water/water bottle. There is always a water refill station
****Bringing something healthy and delicious to share at the end is always welcome. I will always have something ready to nourish and ground .
**** You are welcome to bring drums and shakers or any musical instruments you feel inclined to bring . Hula hoops and scarves are fun dance mates! Dress in comfy layers as it can certainly vary in tempature so dress in layers. Most likely you will get hot so bring layers to take off! Wear what ever clothing you feel good in!
**** Bring a blanket and or yoga mat for the begining breath work and for the sound healing or mediation at the end.

WHAT IS ECSATIC DANCE???
One of the many great things about ecstatic dance is that it is free form movement and therefore everyone can do it! No matter what age, what gender, or what culture you are and no matter what actual dance experience you have ... ....none of that dictates your capacity to ecstatic dance! It's about the flow, the organic movement and the freedom to be! There is NO right way or wrong way!
With the many ways we have to pre-qualify and validate our status as human beings in order to engage in life, I find it deeply liberating that there is a space that simply accepts me and you for who we are. A place for our nervous system to recoup and just move freely to amazing beautiful music in a safe welcoming environment. Bring all of you.
