WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE?!? Ecstatic dance is a free-form movement - or dance - that's intended to lead to a feeling of ecstasy. It's a spirit-full practice that involves dancing without judgment or expectations, and without the need for a partner nor any dance experience. There are no steps to learn or follow - just the movement of your own body. Ecstatic Dances are often led by a DJ, sometimes with live drumming performances, and feature music that moves from slow to peak to stillness. The goal is to create a healing journey that takes participants from slow to unwinding to ecstasy, and then towards peace and serenity. Ecstatic dance has been around since ancient times and has been revived in the West since the 2000s.
EcstaticDanceJersey events begin with a movement class and/or trust & connection games, followed by free-form Ecstatic Dance curated by the DJ (hesitant? you can dance if you want to, you can leave it all behind, or instead you can meditate, color, or play at the respite area, or meditate in the meditation room! Or enjoy it all - where ever your soul leads you...
EcstaticDanceJersey spaces are safe and inclusive, welcoming ALL ages, ALL abilities, and individuals from ALL walks of life to freely express themselves through movement. No prior dance experience required, just come as you are! No alcohol. No substances. Let the music and dance be your medicine.

DJ MORGANA is a New York-based New Age Music and Art Curator, DJ and Event Producer who believes in the power of music and art to uplift, unite and heal. She delights in taking her audience on celestial journeys to sexy and exotic destinations around the globe, and oftentimes, to the dark side of the moon with a musical style she calls ‘Melodic Magic.’ Her mission is to transport her listeners to a completely uninhibited, Zen and awakened state. A yogi and nature enthusiast, Morgana weaves earthy, progressive ethno world beats with a modern, electronic edge to stir you both physically and spiritually.
SERAPHINITY an improvisational Prayformer, Serenity Entity (SERAPHINITY), is a sound healer, an attuned Reiki practitioner, an American Tribal Fusion belly dancer, and Fire performer. Throughout her visual and sound healing performances, Serenity provides channeled light language and story telling prayer by connecting to the Divine and infusing Reiki healing throughout both visual and musical prayformances.
