About this Event
Imbolc Celebration
Cacao Ceremony · Free Movement · Sound Integration
This gathering marks the opening of the Wheel of the Year through movement, sound and presence.
On January 31st, we come together to honour Imbolc — a time of quiet beginnings, inner fire and gentle awakening.
A moment to light the flame softly and begin the year with intention.
This will be an intimate Ecstatic Dance guided by Shakti Bloom, held as a ritual rather than a performance.
We will begin with a cacao ceremony, inviting grounding, connection and presence.
From there, the space will open into a free-flow Ecstatic Dance journey, where movement is guided by the body, not by steps or choreography.
The gathering may close with gentle sound integration, allowing the experience to settle and land in the body.
What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a sober, conscious movement practice where people are invited to dance freely, without alcohol, substances or talking on the dance floor.
There is no right or wrong way to move.
You are welcome to dance, rest, sit or lie down.
Dance is an invitation, never an obligation.
What is a cacao ceremony?
A cacao ceremony is a sacred and gentle ritual where we drink ceremonial cacao as a heart-opening plant ally.
It invites us to slow down, soften the body and listen inward, creating a bridge between intention, presence and connection.
Held in a sober and respectful space, the ceremony offers a moment to arrive, ground and open the journey together.
Please note: cacao contains natural caffeine. If you are pregnant, sensitive to caffeine, or have heart-related conditions, feel free to skip the cacao or have a smaller amount. You’re very welcome to speak with us on arrival if you have any questions or need support — your comfort and well-being are important to us.
Guidelines for the space
• This is a sober space (no alcohol or substances)

About the facilitator
Shakti Bloom is a sound artist and facilitator working with music, movement and ritual as pathways to presence and embodied connection.
Her work bridges sound healing, Ecstatic Dance and electronic music, creating spaces that are grounded, heart-led and inclusive.
Closing note
This first gathering is not about expansion or spectacle.
It is about opening the year with care and listening to what wants to emerge.
Come as you are.
Move as you feel.
Let the flame return in its own time.
With love,
Shakti Bloom
