Welcome beautiful beings. I am very excited to curate another Sunday dance playlist at the Interchange on Dec. 22nd.Ecstatic dance is a space of free form movement and is open for many forms of SUBTLE as well as WILD expression. No previous experience or training is needed to participate.
This will be an 80 minute playlist from 11am-12:20 pm.
Per usual, Warm up playlist begins at 10:30am till 11. Then opening circle will be at 11.
The theme for this dance is "Midnight in the Cave". Honoring the oncoming of winter time. A time for hibernation in the cave, a time where the nights are extra long and the days are short. A time for us to look deeper within and engage with the shadow and remember how to dance our way through the challenges and into the light.
DANCE AGREEMENTS

This is A SUBSTANCE FREE event, so please come ready to commit to the process of natural elevation through the Dance. ***
FEET FREE (shoes off on dance floor, socks are ok)
JEWELRY FREE (remove ALL potentially harmful items - watches, rings, necklaces, earrings)
DEVICE FREE (devices off & away, no photos or videos during dance please.)
VERBAL FREE (take conversations off dance floor. noises are welcome - cries, laughs, animal sounds etc.)
JUDGEMENT FREE ( practice releasing judgments of yourself, others, and any assumptions about what "good" dancing looks like.)
PARTNER DANCE WITH CONSENT
(perceive and receive eye contact first, then navigate dancing together)
.Two 'handy' gestures to use for partner dancing
1. palms open & up to receive/ initiate a dance.
2. palms touching in front of you to decline (namaste gesture)

Entrance located Hamilton St. side in the fenced parking lot at back of building. Look for the Ecstatic Dance Houston sign on the fence. You may park inside the gated area.
**As courtesy for our neighbors, please do not park in front of small houses across from The Interchange parking lot, thank you.**
