You are invited to join us for an evening of Ecstatic Dance.This is a unique sober Saturday night dance in Bournemouth!This in-person event will take place at The Piccadilly Ballroom on Sat 22 June 2024 at 6:45pm - 9:30pmGMT and will include setting of positive intention and sound relaxation.

Amada DJ -Raquel is an up and coming conscious dance DJ whose mission is to spread the power of music and dance far and wide as a means to become the best version of ourselves inside and out.She is known for her uplifting funky, soulful, eclectic sets incorporating world fusion beats with traditional and electronic music.To date she's brought her flavour to Buddhafield and Noisily festivals, Ecstatic Dance London, EDUK (London), Ecstatic Dance Bristol and Tribal Heart London to name a few.

Ecstatic Dance Bournemouth is a safe and inclusive space where all are welcome to bring their authentic selves as we journey together through sound and movement.No dance skill or experience is necessary! Movement may include walking, rolling, stretching, raging, shaking or anything you feel inspired to embody.

Each event will feature an amazing Ecstatic Dance live DJ set followed by a beautiful sound journey.

Ecstatic Dance is a Freeform Conscious Dance practice. As soon as you enter the space, you are invited to let go of judgements and expectations and allow yourself to feel your emotions, sensations, body, mind, and spirit. Immerse yourself in a vibrant atmosphere filled with like-minded individuals who share the love for movement and freedom. Whether you're an experienced dancer or a beginner, this event welcomes everyone with open arms.

Practice freestyle dancing to a large sound wave featuring Live DJ set.

DJ PXi Pete will take us on a full range journey weaving multiple genres and live percussion with supportive facilitation. Expect energictic highs, introspective spaciousness and dynamic changes.

Some guidance & facilitation will be provided. And then we will let the music, the community and our own inner space direct our steps, our movements, our expression, our journey. Relaxation: Ecstatic Dance usually ends with a deep relaxation.

* 6:45pm-7:15pm Doors Open - Dance Warm up (No entry after 7:15pm sorry, this is so we can all journey together)

* 7:15pm- 7:20pm Opening circle - Positive Intention Setting

*7:20pm - 9:15pm Ecstatic Dance & Sound journey relaxation

*9:15pm-9:30pm Optional tea social after the dance.

Optional extras you may bring:

• Bring a set of dry clothes/small towel as you will probably get sweaty during the session. Toilets are available at the venue but there are no separate changing rooms.
• We dance barefoot, in soft indoor shoes or grip socks.

• We will be sat on a wood flooring for a short time for the meditation so please feel free to bring a blanket/ yoga mat.
• Reusable water bottle.Tap water refil available at the venue.

*Plenty of Free parking at the venue available. All you have to do is register your vehicle with us when you arrive.

I absolutely adore meditating. But let me tell you, it doesn't always involve sitting in complete silence for an hour. Nope, not at all! 😄
For me, meditation takes many forms throughout my day. Whether it's going for a peaceful walk, taking a refreshing dip, or simply sipping on my favourite cuppa, these moments help me relax and tune into my energy.
I'd like to guide you through my Guided Full Moon Journey and Solstice meditation to ground you. I absolutely adore meditating. But let me tell you, it doesn't always involve sitting in complete silence for an hour. Nope, not at all! 😄

Ecstatic Dance Bournemouth guidelines:

As you entering a safe space we do request that you follow the guidelines below. All movement is welcomed and there is no ‘right and wrong’, whilst respecting other's boundaries. Trust in the journey and move through everything that arises.

GUIDELINES

1 . Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment

2 . No talking in the dance space. If you wish to talk, you are welcome to chat before/after dance outside the main dance space and during our social after.

3 . Phone-free zone. No photos or videos.A chance for us to take a breather from our phones and be present.

4 . Respect for each other's personal space.

5 . Dance Barefoot. This helps us ground our energy and brings us closer in connection to mother earth. You can wear soft soled trainers/shoes or socks if you feel more comfortable doing so.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable cloths. Bring a set of dry clothes as you will probably get sweaty during the session. We dance barefoot, in soft indoor shoes or grip socks.

What time we start?

Door open at 6:45pm. We start with stretch and slow music before opening circle. We politely ask not to come earlier as we have to prepare a room. We close door at 7:15pm sharp!

Where is the venue?

Venue is based in Piccadilly Ballroom Hotel,BH1 2NN. There is side entrance on left hand side down the stairs. We kindly ask you, not to use main entrance to the hotel or hotel lounge.

What is your refound policy?

We do not offer refunds/ticket swaps for another event if you cannot attend if less than 72h notice if provided. You are welcome to pass on your ticket to a friend, colleague or family member however please let us know the date & time of the booked session, name and email address of the person.

Can I bring children to event?

Unfortunately these sessions are not suitable for children. And children are not able to stay in the venue during the session. We are considering future events where children will be included.Thank you for your understanding.

Can I be part of crew or volunteer to help?
