Gathering in community to dance and connect
Ecstatic dance involves a quick opening to set the guidelines and check-in.
Playlist starts off slow then builds and comes back down, during the music people come to boogie, stretch, rest, get silly and much more
After 60-75 min of music we come back together to share in the circle and check out.
At Buffalo Ecstatic Dance, we practice and encourage free-form movement and authentic self-expression in a shared safe space. We come to let the medicine of music and community work their magic.
Suggested contribution of $5-10+
We collect contributions to pay the rent of $75 which we give the church to use the space.
This is not a profit motivated event.
This is a family-friendly event, all ages welcome.
No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Opening Circle 2:30
Dance 2:45 ish - depending on number of attendees
Closing Circle 4:15
Dance and Circle with end by 5 pm.
Feel free to come late or leave early but please sign in.
This event is organized by a group of volunteers who hold space and create playlist with no intention of financial gain. We ask for contributions from the community so that we can pay rental fees at our dance locations. Our goal is to provide access without barriers to all who wish to attend. We rely on contributions from those able to give them, including from those who volunteer to stage these events, so that a broader community may receive benefit from our shared practice.
