About this Event
This workshop is for current K–12 classroom teachers.
This webinar will focus on data tools from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and how you can use them to further your students' understanding of the climate crisis and adaptation and resilience strategies. LuAnn Dahlman, from the NOAA Climate Program Office, will introduce relevant sections of Climate.gov (https://toolkit.climate.gov/), the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit, the Climate Explorer, and the Climate Mapping for Resilience and Adaptation tools. After hearing from LuAnn, we will offer the opportunity for Q&A and for teachers to share their ideas on how these tools can be used with students and in lessons/activities, share thinking and ask each other questions.
