About this Event
This workshop is for 6–12 classroom teachers in Austin ISD (i.e.secondary teachers (all subjects), instructional coaches, librarians, & campus administrators
Join us at the new Outdoor Wonder and Learning center at 84 Robert T Martinez Jr St, Austin, TX 78702, rooms 312A&B (portables).
Explore EcoRise’s Introduction to Climate Resilience lessons alongside the Parents' Climate Community and the Dear Tomorrow “letter to the future” activity. Experience a reflective practice shown to deepen climate engagement and learn how to guide students from personal storytelling to hands-on sustainability projects supported by EcoRise Student Innovation Project grants.
Participating Austin ISD teachers and staff will receive PLED credit (if needed) and CPE and GT credit. Breakfast and coffee will be provided.
Check out how your students, inspired by the message of the Dear Tomorrow campaign, can apply for funds to make their climate resilience projects a reality, just like these students from Jordan High School in Katy, Texas.
