Economics in Practice: An Evening at EY-Parthenon

Polit Finance is thrilled to invite economics students to an evening at EY-Parthenon’s Copenhagen office focused on economics in practice. You will gain first-hand insight into how economists apply economic theory and quantitative methods to real-world business and policy decisions, followed by informal conversations with consultants over food and refreshments.

EY-Parthenon employs over 200 professionals in Denmark, delivering advisory services within strategy, transactions, and corporate finance.

At the event, company representatives will introduce EY Parthenon’s Danish departments, with a particular focus on the Economics department.

The Economics department applies economic insight and analytical methods to support real world business and policy decisions. Combining deep sector expertise with strong technical capabilities in economics, econometrics, financial analysis, and evidence based quantitative methods, the team advises both public and private clients on regulation, policy, economic impact assessments, and commercial decision making. Key sectors include infrastructure, life sciences, competition, real estate, and energy.

The EY-Parthenon team will also share project examples demonstrating how economists translate academic theory and technical skills into practical solutions that support better decision making. These examples span a wide range of clients — from ministries and state-owned enterprises to major pharmaceutical companies and SMEs.
