Ecological Restoration Community Planting at the University of Toronto Scarborough
Come join us for a fun-filled day of planting native trees and shrubs to help restore the natural habitat at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). This hands-on event is a great opportunity to connect with nature, meet new friends, and make a positive impact on the environment. High school students can obtain volunteer hours. No experience is necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to get your hands dirty!
Schedule:
9:30-9:45 Meeting by the Athletic Fields parking lot / bathrooms (130 Old Kingston Rd)*
9:45:10:00 Walk over to planting site by Highland Creek
10:00-10:15 Planting demonstration and distribution of shovels and plants
10:15 - 2:00 Community planting
* Free parking in the Valley Parking Lot, or in Lot A off Military Trail (see the UTSC Campus Map - https://www.utsc.utoronto.ca/home/campus-map). Consult TTC website for bus routes and schedule.
