About this Event
The Seasons Series: Relationship to the Sun
In our last eco-somatics seasonal-based series, we sought to “remember” our evolutionary connection to the seasons by attuning to its subtle shifts as we experienced them in our moving bodies, psyches, and the natural world.
As a continuation, with this new series we are invited to explore our direct relationship to the Sun. At a time when the climate change crisis is pressing how can we, by cultivating a personal and communal embodied contact with the Sun, move into restoring this relationship?
Following the solstices and equinoxes, the work; involving eco-somatic/eco-psychological practices and enquiries, art-making and aesthetic contemplation will be at times refined and nuanced, obvious and inspiring, stretching us beyond ourselves and gathering us into a deeper meaning.
Most importantly these sessions become a co-created space through coming together to “remember” ourselves communally in relation to our life-giving star.
The Midnight Sun- Winter Solstice- 21st December
Settling into the winter solstice’s darkness, we will attune to the lowest point of the Sun’s descent in the sky and the landscapes it might take us – within and without.
Please note that at Tariki Trust, we generally do not record our online events. Unfortuunately, we cannot offer refunds to people who do not show up assuming that they will get a recording.
