What to bring
• An apron (We have spares, let us know if you need it)
• A towel to dry your hands
• An old book to dry and flatten your artwork (A5 or bigger)
• Leaves or feathers (optional - They have to be flat and smaller than A6 size)
• All other materials are included
Workshop details
We will start the class with morning tea in a beautiful central space at Fibonacci Centre. Then we will choose leaves from what we provide. If you have any leaves or feathers you would like to print, you are welcome to bring them in. You can use both dry and fresh leaves but they have to be flat and smaller than A6 size about 10x15cm.
Flowers can be printed but has to be pressed. (Simply lay flowers between your book pages to flat them for couple days)
You will be printing on A6 sized paper, the standard postcard and photo size, so you can use your prints for sending cards or you can simply put them in photo frames.
You can expect to make around five to 10 DIY cards, but if you're super speedy, you may even make more!
The best part about this workshop is that it requires no special skills. The procedures are simple and meditative, the perfect way to unwind during this busy time of the year.
Let yourself enjoy some time to simply relax and feel the creative energy surround you as you get lost in the beautiful and captivating art of printmaking!
Hope you will join us and enjoy the workshop.
