The lampshade workshop
On the day you will learn all the skills you need to make a beautiful lampshade in a relaxed environment at the seaside, Joy Revival Design Studio.
You will create an eco-friendly 20x20cm lampshade.
There will be refreshments including drinks and nibbles available.
All equipment and instructions will be provided for you to create your very own lampshade which can be hung from the ceiling or used as side lamp.
Fabric for your lampshade is provided. You will get a choice of beautiful materials here at the studio, many of which are vintage fabrics or stunning African wax prints. These are often bold and vibrant, making a gorgeous statement lampshade. If you would like to bring your own fabric, this is not a problem but please get in touch and let me know so I can give you more information including recommended fabrics types and dimensions.
The ethos of Joy Revival Design is to create beautiful items that are kind to the planet and with this in mind I strive to use more sustainable materials to make my products. This is also the case with the lampshades you will create. All lining materials are environmentally friendly rather than the usual PVC plastic lining, and all fabrics used to cover the lampshades are made from natural fibres.
