Join us for another meeting of our local Eco-Feelings Circle. This session we will share feelings arising due to the ongoing Algal Bloom which can bring up grief responses of all shapes and sizes. This will be a space to listen and be heard.
Unexpected things of every scale, from minor to epic, from wonderful to horrifying, have always occurred and always will. "To be human is to be constantly in tension between attempting to control the world around us and to avoid being crushed by it." Skye C Cleary.
Processing alone is not often the best way through for humans. We need each other to process, even if it is just to listen and share in the not-knowing. Another thing we can do for each other is share permission to find happiness in the everyday, among the confusion. So we will end the session reflecting on the small beauties of the living world around us.
“Happiness exists, and it’s important; why refuse it? You don’t make other people’s unhappiness any worse by accepting it; it even helps you fight for them.” Albert Camus.
This event is FREE and everybody is welcome. Please share with your networks. This is a volunteer and community driven project, supported by the Port Environment Centre.
Please RSVP to [email protected] if you plan to come along.
