About this Event
Join us for a unique and engaging community workshop where the rich history of East Harlem comes alive through the voices and memories of its longtime residents. This special gathering is designed to harness the knowledge and experiences of older adults who have witnessed the transformation of this vibrant neighborhood over the decades. During this event, participants will help in crowdsourcing valuable information from CENTRO’s extensive digital collections. This collaborative effort aims to identify historical figures, landmarks, and significant places captured in photographs, documents, and other archival materials. As we delve into the archives, we’ll also celebrate the history and culture of East Harlem through shared stories and personal reflections.
