Experience an evening of sacred sound and heartfelt song as Shashika Mooruth shares her soulful bhajans and devotional music. An internationally acclaimed vocalist, Shashika is celebrated for her moving renditions of bhajans and kirtan. Born in South Africa and later moving to India in 1987, she immersed herself in the country’s rich spiritual and musical traditions.
Over the years, she has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious International Achievement Award from the President of South Africa. With a career spanning global stages, she blends the traditional and contemporary, creating music that uplifts the heart and connects deeply with the spirit.
As the founder of Urja Music, Shashika carries a mission to spread peace and joy through sound vibrations, reminding us that music is not just entertainment, but a medium to uplift the soul.
This intimate 1.5hr performance will include timeless devotional songs inspired by the stories of Rama and Krishna.
