Many who relished their Capital District Writing Project Invitational Summer Institute experience continue to crave the support and collaboration vital to continually reimagining and revitalizing their classrooms. We are inundated with ideas, creativity, research and writing, but professional supports needed to continue developing our vision, coupled with the ever shifting education landscape, can leave us isolated and discouraged; we know whatβs possible when we come together, but rarely have a satisfying level of access to our colleagues and all they inspire. If that resonates, this collaborative writing workshop, this invitation-to-reunion of sorts may be for you. The Advanced Invitational Summer Institute will include educators in or out of the classroom who have completed any of our 20+ ISIs, participating in a 5-day experience of writing in community. Whatever your entry point this is a chance to reflect on our teaching lives and identities past, present, and future. Join us to reinstitute our Institute. Taking inspiration from the ways CDWP has impacted our work so far, our ongoing inquiries, and the continued goals of our professional lives, we will have dedicated time and resources to explore an array of topics you have centered in our recent collaborations, including but not limited to: writing for the public good, socio-emotional learning, AI, writing for publication, climate justice, curriculum development, and more.
