Recognising sepsis in patients and providing prompt treatment is paramount to a positive outcome. In this session we will cover: how to identify sepsis on bloodwork and cytology, how sepsis affects bodily systems causing SIRS and MODS, treatment considerations including managing hypoperfusion, hypoglycaemia, hypotension and coagulopathies, and responsible antibiotic use.
