Eboni Fondren doesn't just sing songs — she tells stories. And she does it with glam, grit, and the kind of vocal presence that fills the Blue Room from the first note.
One of Kansas City's most highly sought-after jazz vocalists, Eboni has been performing professionally for over 15 years, building a reputation that extends well beyond the city limits. She specializes in taking classic jazz and making it feel fresh, intimate, and personal — with a little R&B remix here and a little groovy sass there. Whether she's swinging through a big band number or delivering a stripped-down ballad, she leads with emotion, connection, and intention.
Her debut album, The Journey: To Kansas City with Love, is a tribute to the city and the legends who shaped her. That music opened doors — including representing the United States at the G20 Summit in India as a jazz ambassador. Her second album, An American in Paris, was recorded with the Laurent Marode Orchestra in Paris.
Named Favorite Jazz Vocalist by the KC Jazz Ambassadors three consecutive years (2021-2023) and Favorite Vocalist in The Pitch Best 2024, Eboni brings all of herself to every performance.
