Eating Difficulties & Disorders - Family and Friends Peer Support Group

Find Support, Share Strength and Create New Connections.

Are you supporting for someone living with an eating disorder or eating difficulties? Do you sometimes feel alone, or wonder how best to support your loved one while also looking after your own wellbeing? You are not alone. Join us for a Family and Friends Night, created with you in mind. This is a safe space to share experiences, gain insight, and offer support to one another. The event will be held at St Dunstan Church Hall, there is plenty of free parking onsite and refreshments will be provided.

Who Can attend?

Parents, partners, siblings, friends, and anyone over 18 supporting a loved one with eating difficulties, including anorexia, bulimia, ARFID, binge eating disorder, and more. Whether you’ve been on this journey for years or have only recently begun, you’ll find understanding and support here.

Being a supporter for someone with eating difficulties can be emotionally taxing, confusing, and sometimes isolating. You might find yourself walking a delicate balance, wanting to help but unsure how. Research shows that Family and Friends who feel supported and informed are better equipped to support their loved ones and to maintain their own health and wellbeing.

Our Family and Friends Night is designed to provide a space where you can both give and receive support, recharge your batteries, and gather tools to help you on this journey.

Support for a loved one with eating difficulties is a journey that asks for strength, patience, and compassion not just for your loved one, but for yourself. Whether you’re seeking answers, hope, or simply a place to be heard, you are welcome here.

Join us for an evening of support, understanding, and community. Together, we can navigate these challenges and build hope for the future.

Your presence matters. Your voice is important. And you are not alone.

We look forward to welcoming you!
