One-night, city-wide culinary fundraiser celebrating SAY Detroit’s 20th charity anniversary. Enjoy tasting dishes and craft drinks in a tour of top restaurants while wearing an official wristband, and no bill ever arrives. Attendees are also welcome to enjoy a palate cleanser with a free water ice dessert at the Detroit Water Ice Factory. Walk between restaurants, or hop on shuttle buses for longer distances between Downtown, Midtown and Corktown.
While general admission (GA) attendees pick a starting restaurant and begin dining at 5:30 p.m., the VIP experience includes two exclusive receptions. At 5 p.m., VIP attendees check in and dine from award-winning Baobab Fare, Freya, and Bar Pigalle in Michigan Central Station’s newly restored and opulent Grand Hall, and return there later in the evening for a special dessert party with featured offerings from Warda Pâtisserie, Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails, Yellow Light Donuts, MK Cannelle and more.
Greeting you at each restaurant — and on the shuttles and route stops — will be volunteers wearing official event aprons. EAT Detroit is a volunteer-powered event modeled (with permission!) after World Central Kitchen's Dine-N-Dash from chef José Andrés.
The idea of SAY Detroit is in its letters: Super All Year. But SAY Detroit isn’t just a name, it’s a call to action to power stable families and thriving communities for a stronger Detroit. When we help one another, our city is better for it. In 2026, we celebrate two decades of success serving more than 4,000 people each year with learning, health care, and housing programs for Detroiters in need.
