About this Event
If you love the idea of homemade bread but do not want to spend an entire day baking, this hands-on class is designed for you. Chef Amy Lozier will guide you through two dependable, low-stress breads that fit easily into everyday life.
You’ll work with a soft Swiss-style sandwich bread enriched with butter and eggs, shaped either as a braid or baked in a loaf pan. The second bread is a crisp-crusted Italian white loaf, baked directly on a flat pan for a rustic finish. Doughs are prepared ahead of time, allowing the class to focus on shaping, baking, and understanding how small adjustments in flour choice and handling can produce very different results.
Throughout the class, Chef Amy will share practical tips for confident dough handling, troubleshooting common bread issues, and adapting these recipes to your own kitchen. All recipes are included, along with ideas for using leftover bread.
Bring your questions about ingredients, technique, or past baking challenges. You’ll leave with fresh bread, reliable methods, and the confidence to bake bread more often without the stress.
