Darts Xmas open @ Eastleigh Working Men’s Club, just a short walk from Eastleigh train station. Approx £1,500 in total prize money across two events with £500 guaranteed winner in the 64 player round robin singles and £150 guaranteed winner in the side event “darts royal rumble”.
Maximum of 64 entries, £15 pre-entry only via Mike Gillet or Eastleigh Darts Series (both via messenger / facebook).
£15 entry covers both events.
Doors (and bar) opens 10am, reg by 11am. Draw and Round Robin to start shortly after (approx 11.15am).
Main event:
64 player round robin
8 groups of 8 players (open draw made as soon as registration closes), best of 3 legs for each group match.
Top 4 from each group qualifies to the last 32.
Last 32 draw will be determined by position achieved in the round robin. Winner of groups will play 4th place from a different group, while group runner ups will play those finishing in third place from another group.
Last 32 onwards will be best of 5 legs.
Side event: Darts Royal Rumble
Royal rumble qualification:
Each player will play one leg of “Halve It” (9 rounds) (in groups of 4 due to time constraint’s) and the score will be recorded for all 64 players (all entries).
This one leg Halve It will be played alongside the round robin phase of the main event.
The top 20 players with the top Halve It scores will qualify for the darts royal rumble.
Position 1 will be the player with the highest Halve It score and gain a better position in the royal rumble and the later the player will come out to play a one leg 501 shootout for the Royal Rumble title.
Any ties at position 20 will play a one leg shootout together to form the top 20 players.
Royal rumble: One-leg 501 shootout starting with player ranked 20 v player ranked 19. The higher ranked player goes for bull first to determine the throw. The winner of the one leg shootout will progress and play position 18 for the next one leg shootout and so on until playing position 1 for the Royal Rumble title. Winner £150, Runner up £50.
The player with the highest Halve It score in the qualifying round will come out last, guarantees prize money and would need to win just one leg to win the Royal Rumble.
Winner prize money is guaranteed for both events. However all other prize money is subject to entry numbers.

Main Event Round Robin and Royal Rumble Qualification leg will finish approximately 4.30pm
Last 32 onwards and Darts Royal Rumble will finish approx 6.30pm to allow the scheduled Rock and Roll band to set up in the hall for the evening entertainment.
