Rise with the sun to celebrate Jesus' resurrection this Easter.Shen United Methodist Church is happy to announce our second annual sunrise Easter worship service held at Groom's Cemetery on Vischer Ferry Road.
Bring a chair (and maybe a flashlight) and bundle up for this short yet moving worship service in which we will gather for prayer, God's word, and song.
The cemetery is maintained by SUMC volunteers and was recently underwent significant restoration work. This is the site of one of the oldest Methodist meetings in the area and we are honored to celebrate the risen Lord at the resting place of so many of His faithful disciples.
All are welcome at Sunrise service, and invited back to the church at 7AM for breakfast.
