About this Event
Join Kate Doig for a copper foiling workshop, where you will make 2-3 hanging light catchers with an Easter or Sprint theme (eggs, rabbit, birds, flowers etc). This course is ideal for beginners or those with a little experience. Please bring an apron and wear closed in shoes.
You will learn how to cut glass safely, how to use a glass grinder, how to apply copper foil and how to solder it all together. There will be templates for you to use or you can design your own light catchers. This will be a fun filled day so why not come with a friend?
Kate is a qualified tutor and professional glass artist. She studied architectural glass at Bristol School of Art and has taught stained glass classes for 12+yrs; her work can be seen at www.firewolfglass.co.uk and her greetings cards of her work will be available to view and buy on the day.
All materials are provided as well as hot drinks throughout the day. Please bring your own lunch or it can be purchased from the Grainstore café.
This workshop is suitable for adults only due to the use of glass cutting equipment and soldering irons. Please also note due to the glass cutting element it may not be suitable for anyone with weak wrists or hands.
