Join us for a hands-on, beginner-friendly baking workshop where you’ll mix, shape, bake, and bring home your own beautiful Easter bagels and dinner rolls! This session is perfect for anyone curious about working with sourdough discard — especially if you have an abundance of it in storage at home, and want to practice some ways to use it up!Together, we’ll explore the foundations of sourdough discard baking, including the basics, dough development, shaping techniques, and timing. You’ll learn how simple adjustments in handling and process create soft, fluffy rolls and perfectly chewy bagels.
During the hands-on portion of our workshop, you’ll prepare and shape your own bagels and dinner rolls, which we’ll bake on-site so you can take home warm, freshly baked breads ready for your holiday table.
All relevant materials are provided, and you’ll receive detailed instructions and recipes so you can confidently recreate these baked goods at home.
Light lunch/refreshments are provided.
Participants are invited to stick around for the last half-hour of our time together for some Q & A and discussion!
