The Globe Downtown Association is happy to announce the 18th Annual Easter Parade! This free community event is a sidewalk walking stroll in the theme of the historic grand NYC Easter Parade. Think hats, finery & fun for the whole family. The “Easter Parade” is based on the classic 1948 holiday movie and song featuring the old tradition of taking a stroll downtown on Easter weekend to welcome in Spring. This is the perfect time for wonderfully themed hats, bonnets, parasols, finery, dapper stylings, shined up vintage cars and more. Dress yourself, your family & friends and/or your pets to impress for this walking parade/stroll down and around historic Broad Street. Participants promenade from the train depot complex to walk the sidewalks making the grand loop this year back to the depot for treats. Take your time to greet spectators and downtown merchants alike, stopping into the shops to extend your warm "Happy Easter" greetings, and window shop along the way. There are many benches to rest your feet, and stunning historic buildings, murals, blossoms and more for those perfect photos (don't forget to use our hashtags for post-event prizes #easterparadeglobeaz). Keep your eyes open, you never know where Spring surprises might be hiding along the way! The Easter Bunny and his friends will be on hand during the meet & greet for free photo ops galore. The Easter Bunny will start the stroll and then be scooped up and transported back to the depot for more photo opportunities and fun during the fabulously fun trivia scavenger hunt!The Easter Parade event is free to the public and a rain or shine event sponsored by the Globe Downtown Association. Thankful for the City of Globe, DJ, the Globe Merchants and all of the photographers, volunteers and participants who make this event so memorable.
Event Schedule:
9am- DJ will be at the Train Depot to kick off the fun with music.
9am-10am+\- Train Depot Meet & Greet, Event Check-in, Easter Bunny photo-op, and Sidewalk Chalk Galore!
10am-11am+\- The Easter Bunny starts the group stroll, running from N Broad St to S Broad St and back to the depot.
11+\-am -Noon Selfie scavenger hunt, music, refreshments & more Easter Bunny Photo-ops.
