On April 4th, weather permitting, we’ll be hosting a free Easter egg hunt at Kern County East Park, located at 15580 O Street right here in Mojave. This event is co-sponsored by Mojave Elks Lodge #2059 and the Mojave Chamber of Commerce, and it’s open to children of all ages. The hunt begins right at 10 AM—and I do want to emphasize, arrive early! We actually have a ribbon in place that serves as the starting line, and once it’s cut, the kids are off. If you’re not in line and ready to go at 10, it’s very possible the eggs will be gone by 10:15.
We’ll have plenty of candy-filled eggs, and a limited number will contain Golden Tickets that can be turned in for special Easter baskets—so there’s a little extra excitement built in!
We’ll also be serving hot dogs, and the event typically wraps up once the eggs and food are gone—usually around 11:30.
There’s plenty of parking available, and one quick tip for parents—make sure your kids bring a basket or a bag to collect their eggs.
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the event will be postponed and a new date will be announced.
It’s a wonderful way to bring the community together, and we’d love to see you there!
