Hop into some Easter Astronomy. Your evening starts off with a tour of the historic Ballarat observatory while some light remains. while awaiting nightfall learn about how the date of Easter is linked to the sky and about easter themed Celestial objects. The highlight of the evening then awaits: night sky chats with an astronomer while stargazing and viewing objects through a telescope.Event Details:
Gates Open 10 minutes prior to event start.
Entry to the event is via the carpark entrance on Magpie St. The pedestrian gate on Cobden St will be closed.
Upon arrival check in at the Oddie Room.
Photos may be taken by Observatory Staff for internal and promotional purposes please inform observatory staff if you do not want your photo to be taken.
Personal photos must only include your group unless you have express permission from other guests to be in your photographs.
It is advisable to bring walking-suitable shoes, water bottle and to wear layers.
Children must be supervised by an adult.
