Join us for the 4th annual East Moline BMX Speedway Ladies Day! This is a free event for the community. All girls and women are welcomed to come out to the track to try BMX in a fun, encouraging, and supportive environment. Loaner bikes and helmets will be available for those that do not own equipment. Experienced girls and women are also encouraged to join in and get some laps on the track and join the fun. The local girls who ride here will be out on the track to help new girls and women navigate their way around the track safely.There will be a custom challenge coin award for every girl and woman who participates in the "for fun" race at the end. We will also have a strider race for the little girls not quite old enough for pedals yet. In addition, there will be a 12 and under, 13 to 22, and 23 and over "cash open" races for the experienced riders that everyone can spectate to see how exciting the girls side of BMX racing can be. All three groups will also have an announced rollout by an experienced race announcer. Buy-in for the cash open will be $10 and prize money will also consist of donated prize money. In addition to cash awards, all participants in the money open races will also receive a custom award along with the challenge coin.
This will be a fun event taking place on East Moline's state qualifier weekend. The past three years were a blast and an absolute party and this year will be no different. Steady Rise Designs, a local appeal company, will be selling event merch this year. A portion of every item sold will go back to the event, and will be used for the money opens purse. BMX is a fun sport for girls and ladies of all ages. There is no jumping required and no tricks required. Come out and ride with us on a safe, enclosed dirt track. All ages and abilities welcomed!
