About this Event

We are delighted to announce the 2026 RIBA East Midlands Awards Ceremony, taking place at Northampton Guildhall on the afternoon of Friday 15 May.

The RIBA East Midlands Awards celebration is a fantastic opportunity for members, their design teams, and the wider built environment community to come together, celebrate their achievements, and enjoy networking in a unique and inspiring setting.

We'll also be welcoming two VIPs - Mike Reader MP for Northampton South, and RIBA President Chris Williamson, so don't miss this unique opportunity to mix and mingle with built environment "royalty".

This is a friendly, celebratory event, held in the afternoon. We'd love for you to channel a smart "garden party" vibe, but any outfit in which you feel comfortable, and enables you to express your authentic self, is most welcome.

2:30pm - welcome drinks and informal networking

3pm - afternoon tea is served

3:30pm - awards ceremony begins

6pm - building to be cleared. Please feel free to continue your relationship building in any near by watering hole

A photographer will cover this event and the images may be used to publicise future RIBA events.

By accepting an invitation or purchasing a ticket you consent to be photographed, filmed, or recorded as a visitor attending the event.

Cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected], no refunds can be made for cancellations notified within 30 days of the event, latest notification date is 15 April 2026.

To transfer your ticket/s to another individual/s, please contact [email protected]. Tickets are to be transferred at least 14 days prior to the event. Complimentary tickets are strictly non-transferable.

If the RIBA has to postpone or cancel the event the booker is entitled to a full refund of the ticket price only.

On entry to the event, you agree to accept and abide by any venue rules.

The RIBA reserves the right to refuse admission to any ticket holder.

Accessibility

We strive to ensure our events are accessible.The Guildhall has ramp access and an assisted lift for anybody with mobility issues. As a city centre site, they do not offer on-site parking, they can, however, offer parking for any guests with limited mobility, please let [email protected] know if you would like to take advantage of this. Blue badge holders can park on St. Giles Street in front of the building. Any guests with specific access needs are advised to contact the office directly on 01604 526154 for further details.
