About this Event

πŸŒ… THIS MAY 23RD COULD CHANGE HOW YOU SEE YOUR HEALTH, YOUR BUSINESS, AND YOURSELF.

Este 23 de mayo, nuestra comunidad se reΓΊne para el bienestar y nuevas oportunidades.

And it won't cost you a thing.

East LA Thrive is East Los Angeles' biggest free Mental Health Month event of 2026 β€” and it was built specifically for YOU: the parent juggling everything, the entrepreneur running on empty, the young adult trying to figure it all out, the family that just needs a day where someone actually shows up for them.

On Saturday, May 23rd, the grounds of East Los Angeles College transform into a full-day community wellness experience unlike anything this area has seen β€” blending outdoor movement, holistic healing, public health resources, and real conversations about what it takes to build a life and a business without losing your mind in the process.

This collaborative event is expected to welcome 3,500 community members through the combined programming of Salud Wellness LLC and Rambo House Community, each operating under their own Take Action LA funded contracts.

Indoor seating is limited. Claim your free spot now.

βœ… 100% FREE. NOTHING IS SOLD. EVERYTHING IS GIVEN.

100% GRATIS. NO SE VENDE NADA. TODO SE COMPARTE.

No upsells. No vendors selling products. No admission fees. Just resources, community, wellness, and knowledge β€” all day long, all completely free.

πŸ’¬ WHAT KIND OF EVENT IS THIS? (AND WHAT IT'S NOT)

We want to be upfront about the vibe β€” because this matters.

East LA Thrive is a community wellness celebration. It is not a clinic. It is not a therapy session. Nobody is going to pull you aside, diagnose you, or enroll you in anything without your permission.

This event is intentionally designed as a non-clinical, stigma-free community space β€” because we believe mental health awareness belongs in the streets, in the grass, in the music, and in conversations between neighbors β€” not just in offices and waiting rooms.

What you WILL find here: βœ… Free outdoor movement and wellness activations in the grass βœ… Community organizations sharing free resources and information βœ… Preventive health screenings by qualified providers βœ… Mental health education and awareness in English and Spanish βœ… Cultural performances, music, and family engagement βœ… Honest conversations about entrepreneur mental health and burnout βœ… A welcoming space where YOU are in control of your experience

🌿 Morning Experience (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Presented by Salud Wellness LLC
Nurse-Led. Community-Centered. Built for You.

Your morning starts the moment you step onto the grass.

Salud Wellness LLC, founded by Jasmine Salas, RN, opens the day with a powerful outdoor wellness activation on the campus grounds of East Los Angeles College. This isn't a gym class or a fitness demo β€” this is a healing space designed around the belief that mental health starts in the body, and that our community deserves access to that kind of care.

🌿 Outdoors β€” Grass Area & Campus Grounds (Open 7 AM)

Come as you are. Bring your mat, your kids, your neighbor. The morning outdoor activation includes:

  • Community movement and wellness activations in the open grass as the sun rises
  • Family-friendly participation β€” children, parents, abuelas, everyone welcome
  • A space designed to feel like a release, not a workout
  • Familias, niΓ±os, padres y abuelos son bienvenidos.

πŸ“ Inside β€” F5 Building Upstairs (Registration-contingent seating)

  • Community mental health education presentations
  • Public health resource navigation β€” find free services available in YOUR zip code
  • Interactive wellness stations for all ages
  • Culturally responsive programming in English and Spanish

If you've ever felt like wellness spaces weren't made for people like you, this morning was made to prove that wrong.

πŸ’Ό Afternoon Experience (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
Presented by Rambo House Community
Because You Can't Build an Empire if You're Burning Out.

Here's the truth nobody talks about enough: entrepreneurship is one of the loneliest, most mentally demanding journeys a person can take.

The late nights. The financial pressure. The isolation. The imposter syndrome. The fear of failure. And the reality that most business resources never address any of it.

Rambo House Community, led by Commissioner Dion Rambo, brings that conversation to the forefront β€” pairing honest entrepreneur mental health conversations with the most powerful contracting and business access opportunities East LA has ever seen in one room.

🧠 Entrepreneur Mental Health & Burnout Prevention

  • Real, unfiltered conversations about the mental health challenges business owners face
  • Practical tools for building sustainable, mentally healthy business practices
  • How to recognize burnout before it breaks you β€” and what to do about it
  • The connection between your mental wellness and your long-term business performance
  • Free mental health resources specifically for entrepreneurs in LA County

πŸ“‹ Business & Government Contracting Access

East LA entrepreneurs β€” this is the room you've been waiting for. This afternoon features procurement directors and representatives from:

πŸ›οΈ LA County Internal Services Department (ISD) 🌍 LA28 β€” FIFA World Cup 2026 Contracting Opportunities πŸŽ“ LACCD Procurement 🏒 Additional LA County Public-Sector Departments

This is real access to real contracts. Not a seminar. Not a replay. Actual decision-makers in the room.

  • Local small businesses showcasing their companies
  • Community networking and business connection activations
  • Entertainment and family engagement programming
  • Procurement workshops and contracting presentations in Auditorium O3 (contingent on registration count)

If you've been waiting for the right moment to take your business seriously β€” this afternoon is your moment.

🧠 Mental Health & Emotional Wellness Community-based mental health organizations, stigma reduction resources, wellness education, and warm connections to local support services β€” all in a welcoming, judgment-free space.

🌱 Know Your Body, Know Your Power Free wellness information so you and your family can walk away feeling informed, empowered, and connected to the resources that keep you thriving β€” because knowledge is the first step to taking care of yourself.

πŸ’Ό Workforce & Economic Opportunity Business support organizations, workforce development resources, and information on economic mobility programs for individuals and families.
