Founded in 2005 in Asheville, NC, East Coast Dirt was a rotating cast of emerging local musicians before its core songwriting trio, Brad Boughton, Wilson Hawes, and Will Little, solidified in 2007. The live show, known for spontaneity and psychedelic excursions, earned strong word‑of‑mouth and frequent appearances around Asheville including venues The Grey Eagle, Asheville Music Hall and Highland Brewing and local festival appearances at Mountain Sports Festival, All Go West and LAAFF. Known for blending jam-infused psychedelia with full-force rock, ECD combines slinky guitar riffs with level-up effects and tone, deep nostalgic bass grooves and dynamic precision drumming to not only create hypnotic, improvisational soundscapes but entertain a crowd with original songs and classic covers spanning the late 60’s through mid-90’s. East Coast Dirt released their first self-titled album in 2010, and the full-length Polarization was released on all streaming platforms in 2022. Whether revisiting venues or exploring new stages across the Southeast, the trio continues to share their new sound, rooted in Asheville’s old-school vibe yet reimagined for fresh ears.
