About this Event
This summer, we invite dedicated young practitioners to step into a focused and immersive training experience at East Cloud Kungfu.
Our Wushu Summer Bootcamp is a structured intensive designed to build strong foundations in traditional and contemporary Chinese martial arts while developing discipline, coordination, strength, and confidence.
Through consistent, high-quality training sessions, students will refine fundamental techniques, explore forms, and cultivate the physical and mental qualities that support long-term growth in the martial arts.
This is a supportive yet challenging environment intended for students who are ready to train with focus and intention.
Age & Experience Guidelines
Due to the focused and physically demanding nature of this program, it is recommended for students ages 12 and up.
Younger practitioners may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on prior experience, focus, and readiness for a more rigorous training environment.

Session Dates:
• June 15–20
• July 27–August 1
Schedule:
• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 1:00–5:00 PM
• Saturday: 3:00–5:00 PM
What to Expect
- Kungfu & Wushu fundamentals
- Forms training (hand and introductory weapon work, depending on level)
- Conditioning, flexibility, and coordination development
- Focus, discipline, and confidence building
- A structured, high-energy, and supportive training environment
About the Teachers
Mike Zhu & Ginny Lam
With over 20 years of experience as practitioners, teachers, and competitors, Mike Zhu and Ginny Lam bring a rare depth of knowledge and refinement to their instruction.
Both have trained and competed at a high level, representing the United States on the national stage. Their experience has shaped not only their technical precision, but also their ability to guide students through a meaningful and disciplined training process.
As advanced Wushu instructors at East Cloud Kungfu, they are known for their clarity, attention to detail, and ability to challenge and support each student’s growth.
Their teaching bridges traditional foundations with modern athletic expression, creating an environment where students are encouraged to develop both skill and character.
