Our February square dance is at the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, just a few blocks from our regular location. Once again, the amazing Round Top Stringband will be playing! For the first time, we introduce caller Alex MacLeod!Doors open: 7:45 pm
Square dancing: 8:00-10:00 pm
No experience necessary, no partner necessary. The caller teaches each dance right before we dance it. Kids are welcome. Bring your friends!
This is a queer-friendly event where everyone can dance any role.
The musicians of Round-Top Stringband are: Allegra Thompson (bass), Rowan McCallister (banjo), Dan Kluger (guitar), & Nick Lofaro (fiddle).
$20 general admission (recommended)
$15 member of Unitarian Fellowship or of BACDS
$25 supporter
$6 student or low-income

Regarding the style of dance: this is not a modern or club square dance; it is a traditional or old-time square dance. That said, square dancers of all stripes are welcome!
