One Night. One World. One Community.

Earthbeats launches our Save Our Sanctuary (SOS) concert series, a programme of creative fundraising events dedicated to sustaining Ascension Church Hulme as a living, breathing community space.

This is more than a concert.

It is a community-powered gathering where global sound meets local purpose, where rhythm becomes renewal.

Every contribution on the night supports:

• Essential building repairs, heating and maintenance
• Fair pay for artists and facilitators
• Ongoing community programmes including music tutoring, food support initiatives, cultural events and intergenerational activities

When you attend Earthbeats, you are helping to preserve both a building and the vital work that happens inside it.

What to Expect

🌍 World Music & Cultural Fusion

An international lineup bringing together African, Balkan and Iranian musical traditions in one shared space of rhythm and exchange.

🥁 Interactive African Drumming

A participatory session led by Godfrey Pambalipe , grounding the room in collective rhythm before the live concert begins.

🎪 Circus Skills – “Have a Go”

Led by Masutopia. Family-friendly, playful and accessible. No experience required.

☕ Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony

Hosted by TG Coffee. A traditional, sensory ritual celebrating connection and hospitality.

🍲 African Food & Night Market

Authentic African cuisine, crafts and cultural artefacts available throughout the evening. Vendors contribute toward the Save Our Sanctuary campaign.

Our Fundraising Model

Pay What You Feel / Pay What You Can

There is no fixed ticket price.

We suggest £8–£12 where possible, but we welcome everyone regardless of ability to pay.

This model reflects our belief that community comes first , while also encouraging those who can give more to help sustain the sanctuary for others.

Cash and card accepted.
This is an alcohol-free event.
