About this Event
Fire for the People
Join us for the third weekend in our workshop series dedicated to the Sacred Order of survival.
Building a relationship and skills with fire is a way to connect with the land, through caretaking, ceremony and basic wilderness living. Our main focus will be the bow-drill method of friction fire; however, this one skill will lead us through many layers of skill and awareness on the land. Other topics include: safe/efficient knife skills, campfire safety, cooking and caretaking.
Arrival: 9am Saturday (optional arrival after 5pm Friday for overnight camping)
Departure: 12pm Sunday
Participants will camp overnight and provide all their own meals. (See recommended gear list below.) You will have access to an outdoor kitchen and fire. Please bring your own cooler if needed for food storage. Outdoor shower and porta-potties are available on-site.
The fourth and final workshop in this series will take place December 7-8, 2024. You can register for that event HERE.
